Discovering nature, science and technology
During Friday morning sessions we will be placing more emphasis on gardening, science and technology!
We now have a raised “bed” in the garden area of Room 1 for the children to plant and tend some herbs and vegetables. Through gardening children can learn about the process of living things, promote healthy eating and can fulfil many areas of a child’s development, from communication, physical development and understanding about the world around us.
A bird box has been placed in the tree and we are hoping that it may provide accommodation for some fledglings in the future.
We will be conducting age appropriate scientific experiments with the children; eg. Volcanic Eruptions!, Kinectic Sand, Fireworks in a Glass! Lava Lamps! What dissolves in Water? and much more!!
